Readers Write: Seeman backs Fishkind to replace her on city council – Readers Write

As you may already know before you start reading this article, I have decided not to get re-elected; however, I know a great man to run in my stead and I know he will be great for the job and serve his residents well.

Peter Fishkind is running for the City Council of the Fifth District of North Hempstead.

Let me tell you a bit about myself before I explain why I think Peter Fishkind is the right fit for the job.

My name is Lee Seeman and a long-time resident of the Town of North Hempstead and currently have the honor of serving my fourth term as City Councilor for my beloved town.

I represent the wonderful communities of Saddle Rock, Saddle Rock Estates, Harbor Hill, Great Neck Estates, Great Neck Plaza, Russell Gardens, University Gardens, Lake Success, North New Hyde Park, Garden City Park and Floral Park.

Now that you know me a little, it’s time to shine a light on and inform all residents of the city of an opportunity to be represented by a great community advocate and friend of all of us that I am proud of. ‘take over to succeed me after my term ends this year.

Peter’s impressive range of professional experiences includes a former work as a litigation attorney at a large New York law firm. He has also been an active member of various local community groups and holds leadership positions in a number of American Jewish nonprofit organizations.

If elected, Peter’s dynamism and experiences will be an asset to all residents of the neighborhood that I have had the privilege of representing.

Peter’s goals are to ensure that the city government continues to operate in a fiscally responsible manner and to maintain its AAA bond rating, that city services and programs are delivered to residents in an efficient manner. and high quality, to serve as a proactive representative in supporting our businesses and our commercial city centers, and to be a transparent and accessible representative for every inhabitant of the neighborhood.

Vote Peter Fishkind for City Council on Tuesday, November 2. The reasons why I stand by this statement are manifold and supported by reliable facts and a trustworthy person who happens to be someone whom I hold very high.

I am fortunate enough to call him a friend and I am so happy to have met a man with such an impressive background and I was so delighted to learn of his candidacy for a position that is so close to my heart.

Believe me. There is no better man for this job. Just look at his background and, to top it off, he’s the most trustworthy and kindest person you’ve ever known. He is a man of the people who will know how to serve the inhabitants of his neighborhood with kindness while meeting their individual needs.
