Regular Meeting, Town of Ethan Board of Directors, 11-14-2022 The Town of Ethan Board of Directors met in regular session on November 14, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall in ‘Ethan. Directors present were Gregg Thibodeau, Bob Riggs, Raquel Nesheim and Jason Koch. Municipal staff present: Michele Pollreisz. Absent: Megan Perry and Dave Duba, President Thibodeau, opened the meeting and conducted the Pledge of Allegiance. Unless otherwise indicated, all motions were carried unanimously. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Approved on motion by Riggs, seconded by Nesheim. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes of the October 11, 2022 meeting were approved on motion by Koch, seconded by Riggs. No minutes from the community center. FINANCIAL REPORTS: The Finance Officer reviewed the October 2022 financial reports. PUBLIC WORKS REPORT: Discussed the water loss report. CITIZEN INPUT: None APPROVAL OF CLAIMS: Motion by Koch, seconded by Riggs, to approve the claims. OLD BUSINESS: Unlicensed Vehicles – Letters have been sent informing citizens with unlicensed vehicles. If not picked up by this date, vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense. Railway Extension Project – An application has been submitted for the SD Agribusiness grant. Grant was refused. Cameras at ECC – NEW BUSINESS filed: AAA Citations – Membership for Pollreisz at $95.00 per year, approved on motion by Koch, second by Nesheim. ECC Gutters and Bench – Will obtain quotes for the installation of new gutters. I contacted SoDak Seamless for quotes. The hedge trimmer and battery were purchased for use at the park, at the gazebo near the water tower, around the town hall and the ECC. FRCL funds have been deposited into our account. Discussion on funds carried forward until next meeting. Christmas on Main-Town of Ethan will be decorating the pickup and trailer to participate in the Parade of Lights on Sunday, December 4.
